I have 7 Polish chickens. They are five months old and have been laying for about a month. I was surprised that they started laying as young as they did. The thing is, their eggs are tiny, weighing just over one ounce.
I don’t get it. I have had Polish hens for years and they’ve all laid eggs larger than that—about twice as large.
Does anyone have a similar experience?
I’m hoping that when they are a little older they’ll produce normal sized eggs. I’m tired of these little bitty ones!
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
