Polish rooster? Please say no!

My husband is convinced that Miss Polly is a rooster. She is almost 12 weeks old and is doing the morning crowing. We've heard hens crow on YouTube so I'm still holding out some hope. Her waddle is very red, though, and feathers are not so round as our other breed hens. I don't know if a Polish is any different? Please tell me I can keep her!

Hens can crow but sound nothing like a roosters crow, similar to make you think it but they're just not as loud or vigorous with it.

Roosters are way pretty, and I live in city as well and I got a rooster, he crows only twice a day. Morning because he hears other roosters in the distance then occasionally I'll catch him doing it at night but I just say quit and he does.


Plus my gf works for the city so I can get away with it were not even allowed to have chickens and we live not 1000 feet from city hall

Another thing, fertilized eggs taste the same and are safe to heat just like blood spotted eggs. They probably just don't look appealing which I don't blame you, but also! It doesn't hurt to have him his own pen for when you want eggs spot free you just can't rid something unless you got to

I like how you guys think! The hubs does most of the dirty work around here, so he has a little bit of say. I'll try to keep Mr. Paul though, until someone complains anyway (which I don't really see happening).
