Polish sexing (Iformation and tips)

    Next to the Silkie I would say Polands are one of the hardest chickens to sex frizzled and bearded are harder to sex one good clue is the crest
    Male crest:the crest is like a fountain the crest feathers are more pointy than the hens

    Female crest:more like an afro crest feathers are more rounded

    Do you see the difference

    if you want to know the sex of your frizzled Polishes all you have to do is look for wattle development or crowing or an egg

    Bearded Polish are a little tricky they really don't wattles I'd suggest use the crest method [​IMG]

    Hello summerb123.
    So when I came home from work today I did my normal hang out with the chicks but this time I looked at all of my birds feathering I read this post while I was out with them. I think I may have it down. Maybe lol. So here is 2 pics hopefully u can tell from these pics. This one I think girl [​IMG] and this one I think boy [​IMG] hopefully they are better pics for u.     the feathers and the way the crest spreads i think both boys but are they bearded

    Sorry yes those are the two I think are boys I tried one of each. But the other two have more rounder shape head and neck feathers and smaller tail feathers the two that are pictured have a slight curve in the tail feathers. Don't know much about birds but they do have a couple long feathers under beak.

    they are boys indeed and the other 2 sound like pullets
