Is it true that frizzle polish chickens comes from crossing with silkie genes?

From what I've seen, yes. My polish-silkie cross looks like a frizzle polish.

Just resurrecting this thread again. I have a standard polish silver laced polish and sizzle and silkie hens. Any issue with size difference?

I just got these and I BELIEVE they are silkie/polish mixed based on the chickens the guy I got them from has and how they look.

yeah, i produced some more polish silkie crosses and they look just like that, the only difference is they're white

I have a silkie/polish too. He is such a sweet chicken. Husband says no boys so he has to go. I just want thim to not go to a home that will eat him. He is too sweet for that. Im looking to trade him. We are in lakeland florida.

I am just wondering how many gens will it take before the silkie feathers appear in a cross like this? I have an F1 showgirl polish cross that I am working on and wondering how i obtain the silkie feathers?

If you continue breeding her with a purebred Silkie rooster, you can get silkie feathering second generation. On second gen from 7 eggs in my incubator I got 5 silkie feathering and 2 smooth.

Took a couple of shots of my bearded silver laced polish crossed with splash silkie (white with black spots). She’ll be a year old this summer. She’s been laying for quite some time now.
