Hmm. I'm guessing hatcheries just plain mix up their non-bearded and bearded and let them have a go at the mash-up.

Well, they look pretty; prettier than a lot of other non-showing Polish out there.

The cockerels are young to judge, but the pullets are okay. I am no fan of non-bearded Polish (except white crested blacks) but I do love the bearded girl. Pretty decent lacing, decent body, good sized crest so far. . . She of course does have the common faults like any other though of peppering in the tail (but a lot less than the others!)

Honestly wherever you got her, you're lucky. So many hatchery polish are stringy crested, small crested, very black, too spangled in appearance, squirrel tailed, too upright, too thin, have way too big of combs and/or wattles, etc.

I got these birds from a local farm as day olds. ( I can only guess they orginally came from a hatchery) I have never had polish before and just thought they were so darn cute.

Well, all is good. I have plenty of hens for them to be "commander & chiefs" over, as you see, a bunch of EEs. Maybe I will hatch out a couple of Polish x EE just for fun.

I will assume 2 roosters together with 15 hens should keep everyone happy.

If you ever want to think about it. . . I'd seriously buy hatching eggs from you if you paired up the first rooster (bearded one) with the first (bearded) pullet there. I'm on the look out, and have been for a long time, to get some decent gold laced Polish. . .

Not sure when they will ever start laying....the boys JUST started crowing. I have seramas that start crowing at 4-6 weeks. These guys were 5 month yesterday! I guess they should start in the spring. Well, whenever they start laying, I will seperate them.

I don't have many pictures of all of my polish to share, but i got lucky yesterday and got a good angle on my big BL Roo. He looks so proud!!

I will try to get some more pics of all my others up loaded soon.

Does ANYONE have a buff laced roo they would sell- these chickens are gorgeous-!!! I want some silver laced, but cant find any of those either...
