oh my I found someone who may be able to ID my chick...is this or not a Polish? 5 toes, feathered shanks?
Also, can anyone tell if male or female, about 12 weeks old now.
** just read another posters note about hers, maybe a sultan on mine also then..since the legs are feathered?
I got this one and several others from a local woman, the others were a silkie, and several EE crosses, I am sure that 2 of the EE's are crossed with a Polish also? Thoughts?
Since the woman that hatched the birds has EEs and Silkies, I would guess that the mix would be made from them. Although silkies have six toes crosses sometimes have five. For example I acquired a pair of Silkie/Maran crosses that have silkie crest and feathers but five toes. They are nice birds BTW.
Jodyjo, whatever they are, they're adorable! I have three polish that are 8 weeks and from the same parents. The most independent one was wattles so I thought he must be a roo but now after looking at ya'lls pictures, I'm wondering, do the roos develop later? I've read that they're hard to sex. It seems like their topknots change daily.
