Just want to share, this is one of my Polish that hatched several weeks ago, it's now getting an awesome hairdo that reminds me of Greek soldiers.

Not a good quality bird, but still, awesome looking.

And, after a freakishly early storm earlier of pounding non-stop rain and wind-speeds over 80 mph, my soon to lay pullets desperately needed their winter haircut. . .

And in other news of funny lookin' birds. . . . Molting season is here!

Please help my poor little polish pullet. Today I noticed something that looked wrong, so took her out for a closer look. The other chicks have started to peck the back of her head and have caused her to bleed. I've got her inside now and cleaned her wound and put ointment on it to heal, but I'm afraid to put her back outside with the others. She is fully feathered (2 months) but is getting new feathers in. Do you think that the others will peck her again once she is healed? Would hate to have her get pecked every time she goes through a molt. My other chicks are of different breeds (Welsummer, Delaware and EE). I would rather find her a new safe home then have her tortured.
