Polish Thread!

I taped all three of my polish and now when my sister went out to the calf barn and asked her if she could put the polish away she couldn’t check the stinkers and she had me catch them (it was easy...)

Hi I am new to owning polish. This year was off to a rough start. About two days ago my fiance and I drove and hour and a half to buy some chicks, we picked 3 polish 2 White Crested Blacks and 1 Golden Polish, 2 Orloffs and 1 mystery chick. Out of the six we lost 2 polish and the mystery chick, we feed medicated feed which is fighting off something the remaining three had.
Their brooder is in my room and temps are 90-95 in hot spot 75-80 in cool down spot. We feed Kalmbalch Medicated Starter and Grower we've used this same feed for two years, and for the first week we do ACV and honey water.

My main question is how fragile are baby polish? The breeder we got them from for two years has struggled with the breed, I am wondering maybe he isn't doing something right. He is willing to replace all three that died free of charge.

When I polish chicks for the first time they were actually the only ones that seemed to be the most active at that age. As they got older they have gotten more problems with mites and crusty eyes because the feathers that where rubbing there. Other than that they seem to be my healthiest birds. I just put apple cider vinegar in our chicks waters.
