How old do they need to b to be able to tell for sure wat sex they r there 11 weeks old

I normally sex them at day old, we bought them bands so we could always tell... but they are here..lost..somewhere...

well... depending on the quality of your birds, sometimes it can be when the crest fully comes in, other times its when you find eggs. Stronger lines are easier to tell at that age.but the color also is a bit harder. Wcb get a very full crest and are way easy.... but other colors are hard, so overall, not sure when you can be certain, sorry if I confused you.

You have to be a real expert to sex chickens at one day old for most breeds. They employ those experts at hatcheries, and its called vent sexing. Even they are not 100% right.

So here is a mature Polish (not mine). Those long fine pointy feathers hanging off of his lower back are the saddle feathers. Sometimes you can see the beginning of those developing before other male features are apparent. Polish roosters have the pooffy head feathers compared to the females more rounded crest, but you all probably knew that already.

I cant be 100% sure on some birds, and its easier to sex when I am actually there. Some birds are like, thats a girl for sure, and others its thats a boy sure.
Um, well, I cant exactly tell on birds starting to feather out...so they could go either eay.
