Polish Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need everyone's opinion on these WCB polish Roos. I have three and all of them look the same to me as far as quality. One of them does have a stray black feather in his crest. Does anything stick out to y'all that I should be looking for in who to keep?

Sorry the pics aren't better took me a while to get them to hold still

They all look the same to me but that proud stance in the third one make me most attracted to it. Id also look at their attitudes toward you? Does either of them come over to you when you venture into the yard...curious and friendly like? He would be my keeper!

They all look beautiful to me! If you want to show then a friendly calm disposition for judge handling is very desirable. If you want to breed then toss in the desirable attitude with the least flaws for good genetics. No one wants a cranky roo or bad type/color.

Thanks for the feed back everyone. I thought they all looked good. Now to find some ladies for them. They all seem to have good dispositions, but they have always been batchelors. I had all Roos hatch so they have been together since birth.

Breeding them is my goal. I purchased them as hatching eggs and paid for show quality birds. I am pleased with their quality, but I hatched 4 roosters and no pullets. I culled the 4th bird as he was not nearly as nice as these three.

Hi everyone,

I am new to breeding polish, and have hatched my first round of chicks. They are 3 days to a week old with bunches more in the incubator. The goal is to improve my bearded polish crests by out-crossing with nicely crested non-bearded birds. They are all bantams. What do I cull for? I am fortunate enough to have a feed store that will take my culls at any age, so I can start now.

I have some with obvious vaulted heads and others without, some with nice looking poofta and others with not so much - Is that enough to start culling or do I need to wait?

Thanks!
