Polish Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys I was trimming my polish roosters afro and I noticed one of his eyes looked a little moist. No infection or anything but I'm sure if it stays damp that's what it will lead to. Any advice on how to keep his eye dry?

I had the same problem with one of my frizzles, his crest was so big it was pushing the lid down causing a crease that the moisture built up in it. All I could do was keep the crest trimmed down so it was not as heavy and keep it clean to stop anything building up in it. It never did get infected but regular cleaning needs to be the way to go with this problem.

Ok thanks. Do you think once a week is enough or do I need to clean it out more then that?

I did poppet 2 or 3 times per week. He was super friendly though and loved lap sitting so whenever we had cuddles I just checked and cleaned it as a matter of course.

Pullet or cockeral? Mama hen damaged the crest when it was still tiny.. It never recovered

Opinions please. Yay or nay on trimming Afro feathers? And what are some recommended styles for females that help them see without cutting everything off? My girls seriously can't see anything but directly below them.
