Polish Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you! Not sure how being on light all night affects them. My full size hens all started laying at about 22 wks. Polish are much later so I'm not stressing about it. They'll come. Make sure she's not hiding them though!

they are in A big pen that they have darkness and the light if they want to be in one or the other I keep it on because it's 25 here every day and about to snow it helps keep the waters un frozen she can't hide the eggs either because the pen has a floor so they can stay off the ground. When it warms up they have a chicken tractor to go in but I don't have a 3rd light right now.

I'm getting some of those this spring!!!

I am hoping to sell some this year if they ever lay. I am NPIP but I want to get my own for showing first. They do not have an SOP and are not APA so I have to show them as other, but they are so cool. They are friendlier and less flighty (not to mention twice as smart) as my Polish are.

I have had one egg from them, a pullet a month or so ago then they stopped, it is white like a polish but smaller. Might have just been the pullet egg though. They are about same size. Non-chicken people can not really tell the difference between them and the Polish until I point it out.

Any tips to help my polish hen lay she is 8 months old and still have no eggs from her and i'm starting to worry why all the chickens I got with her have started to lay but her.

I have 2 WCBP hens and they did not start laying eggs until they were 10 months old. i was told that was normal for polish. sure enough 2-3 days after they hit 10 moths old, i started finding their eggs.
