Is it normal for red crested reds to have this much black?? And does anyone else have reds? I just can't find them ANYwhere! She's the only one I've got... :' (

I've always thought the one on the left was a boy and the one on the right was a girl. But these last few weeks, "she" has some pretty pointy looking crest feathers. Someone told me that roos have pointy feathers on their crests. Is this true? What sex do you think these 2 are? They are 4 months old.
