I know this is a slim chance but, would anyone here have an BBS large fowl polish hatching eggs for sale. I would like to get a couple of more hens to go with the pair i have, but on ebay it just seems like the crele and tolbunts. Just message me with your price and some pictures of you stock so I can get an example of the quality you have. Looking for about 12-18 eggs. Thanks.

What does BBS stand for? Is your hen the same type that you described? I would also be very interested (in the near future) in getting some hatching eggs of the hen shown above.

BBS stands for Blue Black Splash. All blue chickens (Andalusian, Ameraucana, Orpington, etc) are referred to as BBS in a breeding program since they don't breed true, but instead are part of producing blue (heterozygous blue) black (simply black) or splash (homozygous blue)

Since she is blue, and the polish rooster i have is blue, I can get either blue, black, or splash chicks from her. I hatched 6 chicks from her so far, would be more but I havent gotten any white eggs in the past couple of weeks, and she is the only white layer I have. I had 1 black chick, 2 splash, and 3 blues from her. I really wanted the splash, but some other chicks I had them with suddenly decided they didnt like them after 3 weeks together and killed them, so I only have the blues and black left.


I've been checking the trade forums, but havent seen any open ones with the blue polish im looking for, and the last couple of threads in the breeder section looking for blue polish breeders have gone unanswered so I thought I would ask here.
