Polish Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was trying to decide which Polish thread to follow and here I am! I am new to chickens but I managed to pick out a Polish Bantam. Not sure what sex yet, I went on cuteness factor alone and here we are! This is Big Bird, or B.B. for short. He/She is 3 1/2 weeks old and hitting that very awkward stage!

Congratulations on your polish :celebrate

What disposition do Polish chickens have? I have a pair of bantam Cochin and was thinking of getting a silkie and a polish to keep with them. Pullets not roos. Thanks for any advice.

All 3 of these breeds are considered gentle temperament birds but there will still always be one of the birds that is top of the pecking order and seem a bit more assertive than the others - it's a chicken thing! There should be no violent interactions. Introduce new birds gradually through wire walls so that when the barrier is removed they'll hardly notice they are finally integrated together.

Thanks! I hope to find some silkies and polish at the sale Saturday.
