My 2 Polish babies Goldie and Izzy! Can anyone tell me if they are both girls? They are about 10 weeks old. I also want to get the feathers out of their eyes and is it best to use painters tape as someone said or trim with scissors? Goldie had a bit of congestion so I brought them both into the house last night rather then leave them in a damp coop. Also on antibiotics for 10 days during isolation from the flock of 4! If the sunshines today I will put them back outside in their coop. They are adorable. Not the greatest photos I know.

Any better? I think/hope they are girls! and really need a tip about the best way to help them see better by dealing with the feathers somehow!

I put a small hair tie on mine for a while. It helped tremendously. When I took it out it seems to have trained her feathers because she's been fine since.

Yeah the crest can be obvious to enthusiasts/breeders but I don't think it's a very accurate method for sexing polish. My 2 roosters had round crest for a long time before I realized rooster.

The kind with the marbles on the ends? Or just the rubber band type? How tight is too tight?

Probably pullets then. Watch for red on both sides at the top of the beak and for wattles lol
