Yes!!! I've always seen black with white crests... I may have to make a deal with you for fertile eggs to hatch or chicks so that I can have a few more of these!

I'm glad you posted this, I've not seen any like her on the internet at all.
I've told my kids we've got to cut back a few, and they insist keeping this one, whether it's a cockerel or pullet.

Yes all the time! My polish roo loves his fro petted lol. He falls right to sleep. We have white crested black but I really want some of the tolbunt. The black crested white are really unique as well. :)

At first I thought she passed out or something, maybe I had cut her air off, the way I was holding her! Since I only have this one polish, I had no idea they drop off to sleep just like a husband. Hahaha!

why do some polish have a beard and some have waddles?

what size are your roosting bars? maybe they are too small? i read or heard to make the roosting bars out of 2x4 or 2x6's. we made them out of 2x6's and they like them. they also have a roosting ladder that i made out of burch tree trunks. they like them also. or maybe the roosting bar is too close to a wall? i think chickens like to hang their tail off the board not into a wall... just some suggestions to think about??

It's just different varieties. Other breeds cam be bearded or no bearded also.

I actually made ours wider. I was worried with their crest that they might fall off so it is big enough for them to actually stand on. Their tail does hang off though.
