Thank you. the lil, chickie didnt make it through the night, poor thing. But on the same day our neighbors called saying that one of their duck eggs hatched way to early and so we went to check it out and my daughter had pointed out that it was a chicken, so we took the lil girl home and put it under the Mama hen which gladly excepted it.

Awhh, it's always so sad when they pass away.... a moment of silence for our little chick.


However im glad you gave that little "Duck" a schance XD

You should name her "Ducky". XD

(Lol I have a EE rooster named "Mallard" for the very same reasons)

well the feathers look rounded but pretty all over the place.

I just hatched five wcb and wcB polish chicks from a friend's flock. The rooster is white crested black. The hens are wc black and wc blue. One of the chicks is colored differently. Why does it have so little color? There is even a yellow stripe down the middle. Any thoughts?
ps... ignore the easter egger. that one came from my own flock.

maybe this chick will be white with a black crest?

or some how some way you got a candy corn polish?

Oh, a candy corn would be awesome. My friend who owns the parents has some candy corns, but I don't know if they are old enough to breed.
