Never owned a polish, but I think that their bump on their heads when they are chix are the tiny crests that will be in blossom when they get older.

The bump on their heads when they are chicks is the vaulted skull. Silkies should have it to. Its what gives the crest its rounded shape.

I have two chicks that i know of that are starting to get feathers on their heads one looks like our male the other looks more like a leghorn with orange legs

Theres a chick who looks like its getting feathers on its head but it has feathered feet i thought it was from our sultan but the last one we had did get feathers on its head this early so its a bit confusing

Actually I wouldn’t be very sure it’s a polish... these chicks don’t have vaulted skulls...

The first looks exactly like our polish theres no others in our group that look like him
