There seems to be a lot of flim flam artist in the solar energy field in Arizona. If they call you on the telephone, don't buy from them. It is a scam run out of an office park in Tempe. They use some trick to make it seem like the call is coming from some other place, but it is the same flakes in Tempe. We don't answer any telephone calls from numbers or people we don't recognize.

I love caller ID.

It's more then just Tempe, I know of two in Mesa and one in Phoenix. You are absolutely correct about not answering the phone, they all have several door knockers too. The worst is the package deals. They pair them up with Aeroseal and the Kvar and charge tens of thousands. The Aeroseal works if you have the old style hard ducting but the Kvar is useless in residential. If you didn't need it before they called or knocked on your door, you still don't need it!

It is all about selling. On the few occasions that they do get through, when they ask if I own the home, I tell them I am renting from my cousin who is working in Saudi Arabia.

The only time I answer unknown calls is when I can't find my glasses to read the caller ID.

At first, I thought it was a put on like that "Onion" article or the North Korean reply about a so called unicorn. But no, this is from the "Pravda" site, and of course we all know that Pravda is Russian for truth. Let us all follow the party line.

We were discussing how the new health care law will affect my nephew's business, and it seems that the way to go is to keep less than thirty employees, and only work them twenty eight hours or less a week. That isn't going to be easy. He will have to close the business a couple of days a week. Mondays and Thursdays are the slowest days. Eliminating breakfast except on weekends might do the trick, but breakfast has the highest profit margin.

The new law will surely change the nature of the fast food business. Probably most food items will be pre made in a factory in China, India or Mexico. Then the operation would be reduced to one employee ringing the register and another tossing stuff in and out of the microwave. Forget about fresh vegetables. The product would have to be stuffed full of preservatives.

Or they could just pass the cost on to the consumer, but I don't think people would put up with that. I guess there will be a lot of cold cereal dinners at home in our future.

Remember the old Automat in New York City? That may be the wave of the future. Otherwise, I foresee a lot of businesses going under.

I don't understand how Obamacare is the enemy and it seems perfectly fine to people that there seem to be so many businesses operating that are unwilling to give their employees health benefits. It is very clearly possible to do this and have a successful business whether you are a small start up or a huge corporation. There are numerous family restaurants that offer this. Buck up and treat your employees like people. Clearly reform is needed and I am hoping this forces it to start.

Everyone should be upset that there are working people in this country that have had no access to basic healthcare. This is ridiculous.

Very well said!! The real answer is it is not Obama Care that is the problem for these people. It is that foreign born, muslim, socialist whatever, in the White House that is the problem for them and will continue to be. If Obama caused it to rain 100 dollar gold pieces in their back yard their opinion would not change. Let us all feel sorry and bad for those poor people who own and run Walmart, large fast food places and the other pigs who are quite satisfied to have their workers uninsured and work for minimum wage. When I hear some of these owners squirm to figure out a way to get around the system at the expense of their employees I say a fervrent prayer for their business to go under quick.
