Had to make peace with the neighbor last year over the rooster that woke him at 5 in the morning. Yanked his chain pretty good earlier in the year when we were talking about zoning and I reminded him that there were no poultry/fowl restrictions and I was thinking of opening a "rooster stud" service where I would need about 60 roos.
uhh Semi-legal. We can keep up to 15 chickens, but no roosters. . .Even though I have one as a pet. But I don't think our town is strict on it, since about a block away have more the fifteen chickens, and a bunch load of roosters. soooo. . . one little indoor banty can't hurt. LOL
Living on a lupehole the law says no non commen domestic animals allowed unless you own 5 acres of land i only have half an acre but Chooks are commen domestic animals
but again it also says no poultry but i'm not gonna eat them
I'm not sure. I THOUGHT we were allowed, because there's no specific laws about chickens for my city, but when I looked up my zone, it says farming is not permitted in my residential zone. Or having an orchard, garden, or farm stand. It defines farming as having 3 acres or more with usual livestock and poultry, and I definitely don't have anywhere near that amount of land. Sooo . . . it doesn't come out and SAY no chickens in my area, just no farming in my area. The city I border allows up to 10 hens. Like I said, I'm confused, so I'm keeping it as on the down-low as I can
We are some of the biggest mother Clucker in the county where we Live We have around 100 +/- Chickens and Rooster . The county says no livestock in residental but we are homesteaded and they can't do a thing about it under the Fl Cons. Also It makes them mad because my mom is a Lawyer
