poll: are you legal or an outlaw?

Illegal, well sort of. I live outside the town (about 20,000 people) in the county where chickens are legal but I live in a 'subdivision' where most lots are 10-20 acres. The HOA rules say no chickens but I am on the board of directors and we decided if your neighbors didn't care we wouldn't do anything. I now have 6 chickens who give me 5 to 6 eggs a day. The next door neighbors (OK, they are about 20+ acres away) want chickens too.

Legal with keeping them.....illegal on keeping them safe at times.....inside the city limits here and at time I'm forces to "discharge a gun within the city limits" to keep all the girls safe....the police have been out to the house on occassion but so far no charges.

Both. I'm allowed to have 3 chickens but I have 5 chickens and 2 ducks

My city allows 3 (or 4, unclear) animals, including dogs, cats and chickens. We have 2 cats, 3 grown chickens, and just got 5 new chicks.
