I tried a sweet potatoe pie once to see what all the hubbub was about...didnt care for it. It tasted like a potatoe. I already had mashed potatoes. I dont want mashed potatoes for dessert.

My mom I have this great old recipe for it , and it tastes great especially with Whipped Cream

But does it taste like a sweet potato? The only way I've ever been able to eat them was in what my mom called: sweet potato fluff. Its essentially a whole bag of mini marshmellows, brown sugar, vanilla and sweet potatos. It does not taste like a sweet potato.

Pumpkin pie and apple pie are close seconds to me.
We’ve always seemed to go for pies in the fall and winter. Spring and summer is cakes, banana pudding, ice cream. Does anyone else see certain desserts as seasonal?
