we have 80, counted yesterday. 10 roosters, 8 of them free range and live in two separate bachelor coops. 9 month old buckeyes in a brooder and 29 marans waiting for it to warm up and move into outdoor brooders, there are 24 eggs in the incubator.
2 roosters and 2 pullets that are a few weeks away from laying age. We are getting are new batch of 20 Cornish X this fall because it is too hot to raise them in the summer here. So 34 right now.
because I get a few roos every summer to dress out from my broodies. It's fine, but I'd love to be more self sufficient.
