Poll Time:. Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip

I grew up with Miracle Whip. As an adult, I find it's too sugary, and there's something about the texture that's not quite right. I appreciate the fewer calories, but when I'm looking for something neutral for a sandwich I use olive oil mayo.

A similar comparison would be butter and margarine. Although I feel like there are stronger opinions on this. I had an old coworker of mine tell me margarine is one step away from being plastic. Well... A lot of chemical compounds are one step away from "kill you"... and, fight me, margarine crisps bread in the frying pan for a grilled cheese/grilled melt sandwich in a superior, less oily way than butter.

I put sugar in my garden chili.

I do that if it's canned product. Sauce made from tomatoes in the garden don't need the acidity cut with sugar. Canned tomato products are always so powerfully acidic and the sugar mellows that out.

try shredded carrot, it works even better than sugar sometimes and it's healthy. Old timers do it.

That's very common actually. Sugar kills the "tang" of tomato sauces

I enjoy a good whiskey too. It's been awhile though

Miracle Whip is disgusting. It doesn't taste right at all. Too sugary, and just weird. I only eat real mayo.
