No, he is/was more of a rescue. I do know that his parents are bucking horses, but that’s pretty much it.

He just turned 2. From what I was told he was from really well bred bucking stock but he was born partially blind in one eye so he was going to be sent to slaughter.

I just saw the picture with the more close up of his tail. I agree with Folly he is grey. A true blue or bay roan should have a solid tail with no grey or white.

He has an LP gene at play. I see zero signs of gray.

He would have to have a gray parent to be gray, or a roan parent to be roan. Nobody knows at this point though.

Just out of curiosity and a little off the subject of color. You said his parents were both bucking stock, so what are you plans with him? Are you going to try to break him so he's ridable?

Yes, that’s the plan. He’s been doing absolutely amazing so far.
