Pomeranian Goose Breed Thread

Pics
Hi all, I've been working my way through this thread, but decided to post now because...I just got five pomeranian goslings!! My first geese, ten days old. I also raise ducks and have been pleasantly surprised how much less water the goslings splash about. I've heard people refer to geese as dignified, and so far, compared to silly ducks and messy ducklings, these guys are rather poised. I love the trilling!
They're in a dog kennel with a heat lamp, chick/duckling starter, grit, and lots of fresh yard greens like crabgrass and dandelion, and of course deepish water but not enough to go swimming. The breeder said they came from a large flock of saddleback pomeranians, so good chance that the five are unrelated.

Pom breed question...

As the black begins to fade from their bill, are spots (kinda like freckles?) normal? This is something new on Cas as of last night so just want to make sure it's normal Lol

Ok, whew! I figured it was just a changing pigment thing because Cas is healthy and fat and happy in every other way.

Hi folks, I need some advise fairly urgently, I've just bought three beautiful Pomeranian Goslings but one looks like its neck and around it's face the feathers are falling out is she sick or is this normal as the others still look cute. They are 3 weeks old. I haven't picked them up yet so I have week to build a house for them but if I can get some advise first it would be good. I don't know what to look for in selecting chicks Please help me.
