We have had this cute young deer that has been hanging around here for a few months. I believe he is 2 and we named him Pongo. Today he brought a girl with him to eat the apple trees. We named her Perdita. She is not really receptive to him, but he sure tries hard.
Here are some pictures for ya.

(Pongo last month with the peas)

He likes to play with Loren's toys in the yard.

"Wait up!", he says. Notice he has 2 velvety points now?

Together at last! (In a "Keep your distance" sort of way)

And more of Pongo. He is very brave and gets quite close to us.

He's lovely but you're very brave to allow him to come into your yard and eat your apple trees. Notice that he brought one deer back with him? Be careful! It won't be long before the word gets out and you will have a whole herd of deer eating freely from those apple trees!

That is very cool. You have some great pictures of him. I especially liked the ones with the peafowl and then the one where he is peeking at you from behind a bush.

Very cool.

Another wonderful and beautiful animal. How lucky are you to have them so close. Thanks for sharing your grand photos!
A couple of years ago I started to feed a couple of deer for the winter. I did end up with 10 within months but I didnt mind either.

That's so neat

Thanks so much for sharing the photos with us. Hopefully it will turn into a nice story tale and we will see little babies from them one day
