Poop board convert *warning-graphic/gross poop pictures*

Home Depot usually has some precut lumber/sheets of plywood about that size. If you're planning to use PDZ or sand you will need some kind of border on it to keep the sand from spilling out - should be easy to add trim with hammer and small nails. Home Depot will usually cut them to length if you ask nicely.
I will see what they have precut. On the one I have now there is a border on three sides and one side does not have a border. Once a week I just use a kids plastic play hoe and scrape all the PDZ and droppings into a litter box sister tray. The PDC falls through and goes back on the board and the Pooh goes into the compost pile. Five minute work once a week.

Not sure if the Coop Refresher PDZ is considered powder or granules, but did not notice dust when I filled the poop trays. Each of those 2 corner trays held a 25 lb bag each.
Not sure if Coop Refresher PDZ is granular or powder-not labeled on bag, but it's way more expensive than the Stall Refresher sold at TSC which is clearly labeled 'granules'.
I notice the dust when mixing with sand and sifting out poops. Have found no reason to 'fill' the poop boards, they just kick it out or dust bathe in it's deeper than 1/2".

I have a poop board in the coop now. It is basically just a flimsy board and now I need an upgrade. I don't have access to power tools. I need something that is about 48" x 48". Does anybody have any ideas on something I could use? I do have a Home Depot here in town.
A 48" x 48" poop board might be really hard to clean. Might be good to start a new thread with pics of your coop.

The PDZ they have at my local TS is a granular type. Not powdery, no dust and works great with a kitty litter scoop that I got for $1 at the dollar tree store.
BTW, that is one nights worth for 4 hens ;) poopers lol

I am a total newbie, but the chicks are growing so fast, I need to start on a coop asap! I love your poop tray and will definitely add one to my coop. How wide is the tray? I hate to build it only to find that it is too narrow and they miss, but I don't have a ton of space either!

Depends on how high roost is off tray.
Mine is 24" with roost centered and 8" above tray.
