Thank you!

welcome! Pictures of that coop would be nice!

Most of the work he has done so far is on my BYC page - the second page I made. The photos may or may not appear - they were done from photobucket rather than the upload method. I had some problems with that concept. It is a fun saga. Here are a couple... no poop boards yet.

I sure am glad others like me are asking questions. I too don't have time to try a deep search, it takes hours. We are just now finishing the interior of our coop and I needed perch and poo board information. I bought fine play sand to sprinkle on the board to see how that works. We got a deal on a 8 X 8 Bully Barn a Co wanted to get rid of, its very cute but space is a premium inside for configuring all the girls *necessities*. It's been years since we kept chickens, and man have I learned alot from this site! Thank you!

I would not be without a poop board. It is wide enough to catch it no matter which way their roost. 4 face out and two face in.

IMO it keeps your coop more sanitary. A more sanitary environment means less health problems.

I have more chicks now so will be adding another roost and a wider poop board in a few weeks or so.

I am also working on my coop for my soon to be chick arrivals:) LOVE all the info this thread has provided:)

I like the poop board idea with the linoleum on it for easier clean up and will most likely go that route.

This may not be the right forum, but how many 'roosts' do you think for 8 large chickens?
My coop is going to be a portion of my shed blocked off 4wide by 8 long. installed great windows all over
for lots of light..will have 4 nesting boxes..Thanks for all the great info on this site!!
