Question ~ Is it possible to feed chickens too much fruits and vegetables? I have noticed that my chickens are having loose poo, and it seems that it happens when I give them an abundance of fruits and veggies. Their feed is ALWAYS available to them and they roam the yard all day too, I mean who would want feed when you can have salad and fruit.

im not sure but dont feed them tooooo much friuts cuz thats not the completed diet. . .

I find that my chickens will eat enough of their own feed and know what they need. They get lots of treats and also free range. It does leave looser poo's but as long as they have layer feed free choice, they will be fine. I don't think it's posssible to give them too much fruit and veggies. Might want to supplement their calcium though with oyster shell since they are eating less pellets. Don't worry one bit.
