Hi everyone,
I'm new here and this is my first post.
I am a new chicken keeper and have just started up with my first flock. Everything seems to be going swimmingly.
A little background info...I have 14 easter eggers, 10 cinnamon queens and 6 rhode island reds, all 10 1/2 weeks old from the same local hatchery. Their diet is Kraemer feeds organic starter grower, a bit of Scratch and Peck organic starter grower, some mealworms once in a while, and they get fresh veggies daily, mostly greens (kale, spinach, collards, etc) usually in the morning, and they did get 1/2 a pumpkin about 4 days ago, and whatever bugs they find themselves in their run. They also have a sand pit to dig and scratch and eat for grit. Their coop has hay, it is turned daily and removed and replaced weekly. Their water is cleaned and changed daily, too.
There were some suspect droppings in my coop now 3 mornings in a row that look abnormal to me. I am not finding any pictures like what I am finding in my coop. Based on the amount, it looks like it's only coming from 1 chick.
The suspect droppings were in the same corner of the coop the first 2 mornings , and a little further down this morning.
Thanks!
Melissa
