What kind of chicks are they? Meat chickens do have a stench unlike other chickens.

Could it be Coccidia? Do you notice any blood in the poop? Are the chicks on medicated starter?

The poop could be that way from the treats.

Green and smelly sounds like they aren't digesting their food properly, too much bile. Lay off the treats and see if it improves. Every time I toss fresh veggies to my chickens my BF cringes. He doesn't understand how any creature can eat that much roughage and not poop themselves to death. To each bowel his own eating habits.
