In the Brooder
Hi there,
This is probably a little silly, but I am on my first flock and still figuring out what is normal. I noticed that after my pullets range sometimes there are visible blades of grass in their droppings, like a fair amount of recognizable grass. Is this common, or does it suggest that they aren't getting or utilizing enough grit. I don't have a separate grit container but I have been throwing a handful into their run each week and they range around the yard twice a day and pick around in the sand and dirt. I found a few poop charts but none seemed to address this question.
Thanks!
