Poop Stuck on Chicken’s butt. Please Help!

Hey guys I was free ranging my flock when I was checking my EE. She has dried poop stuck to her butt. I don’t know how to get it out. So, if you have any suggestions or explanations, please help. Thanks in advance.

oh, was going to say warm water, but I have never encountered it actually IN the butt....might still work, but i am not sure.

I just use scissors to carefully cut the mass of poop off and trim up the butt fluff. You'll want to be sure there aren't any pin feathers coming in and make sure you can see exactly what you're cutting so you don't cut the skin.

It's difficult to see from the photograph exactly where the poo is stuck.
Could you trim the feathers away from the site and provide another picture showing clearly the hens vent and the poo.
This will help people give better advice appropriate for what they believe the condition may be.

Go careful with the scissors.

This is the most that we could cut because she would start squirming around as if she was in pain. It is not covering her vent but it just stuck on the fur it’s not directly on her vent.
