I tried using Corid just for prevention. I added 9.5 CC to a gallon of water. I only did this for one day since I was scared to use it on my 3 week old chickens. After a couple of days I noticed some of my chicks pooping blood...

Welcome To BYC

Can you post some photos of the chicks, the poop and your brooder set-up?
(Poop photos preferably in natural lighting - so if you are using a red lamp, turn that off or gather some poop on a white paper towel so we can see it)

Corid wont hurt them but cocci will kill them quick. Are they acting lethargic or puffed up looking? When I dose I do 20% corid 1 teaspoon per gallon for 3 days

Correct dosing for Corid is on the chart below, use the 'severe' dosing on the right side of the chart. I would start and do a full round of treatment right away. I am guessing that your one dose was coincidental to the onset of symptoms. That is a lot of blood in the dropping on the floor, and I see more in the brooder on the heat plate. You can also give an oral dose of the Corid water to any chicks that you know are passing blood, or any that seem off or lethargic at all, it's important to get the meds in them. Give the oral dose in addition to the medicated water, dosing for that is here, you can give the oral dose for up to 3 days:

Keep feeders and waterers as clean as possible and keep droppings cleaned up, the droppings will spread the illness. Also make sure bedding is not wet or damp anywhere, that also contributes to the illness. I would start treatment right away. The treatment is very safe, you don't need to worry about it doing any harm, the illness can be deadly quickly. No vitamin supplementing until treatment is complete as that can reduce the effectiveness of the medication.

Thank you so much! I was panicking

That's alot of blood. Looks like an intestinal lining near the bottom of the pic too. Better get started quickly. Do what coach723 said.

There are some forms of the protozoa that Amprolium doesn't work on so if the Corid doesn't seem like its working, then you will have to use a Sulfa drug.

I followed the instructions once I saw the reply and so far I have not seen any of them bleed anymore. Just a few that seem lethargic but no more blood. Thank you! :)
