1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
Black copper marans, 2yo, does feel a little bonier than I'm used to her being
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Walking around with her tail down, poopy butt
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
I don't know but I just noticed it today
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
No
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
No
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
Idk
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
Layer feed and water, occasional scratch
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc. it was sandy colored and thin. It kind of looked like when you mix sand and water at the beach
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
I put my finger in her vent to feel for egg binding, but didn't feel anything. I also soaked her for 15 minutes in hot water and cleaned the poop off her vent like I saw to do in another post (lol at trying to blow dry her though. She was not
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
I want to treat myself
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use
Pine shavings, coop, roost

Extra info: tail is still down after cleaning. She's scratching and pecking like normal. She had a poop on her wing this morning that makes me think she didn't roost last night. Between her legs feels like a water balloon.

Does she normally lay eggs, and have you ever seen any shell-less or thin shelled eggs? How does her crop feel now, and can you check it again first thing in the morning before she eats or drinks? A full squishy lower belly could be ascites or water belly, or intestinal infection. Poop pictures are welcome here, as well as a picture of her. Is she eating and drinking normally today?

She is a fairly sporadic layer. She has laid thin eggs before, but not since last summer. Her crop still feels like a water balloon.

I can check her in the morning.

I didn't remember to take any pictures before I soaked her, so now she just looks wet. I'll get some tomorrow if she's still doing it.

After she dried off it seemed like she was holding her tail up normal again. She's roosted in her usual spot tonight. Chicken spa pics below. She loved it.

Something is still wrong. She did roost like normal last night. This morning she's walking around and pecking, and her tail is up sometimes, but she keeps pointing it down. It's almost like she's constipated. I haven't seen her eat or drink or poop.

I gave her another bath, this time with Epsom salts. She's not tucking her tail after the bath. She had a little more of the gritty yellow diarrhea on her butt. I've isolated her in a dog kennel with a heating pad, feed, water, and savachick. She ate some feed out of my hand and ate a spider that was in the kennel, but I haven't seen her eat on her own. Her crop doesn't feel like anything. Like, it's empty. Just flat. Vent pic below. Someone please help, this is my cuddliest chicken and I don't want to lose her.

I still need help. I'm certain she has swelling that feels like a water balloon below her vent. It's definitely behind the legs. She feels thin and her comb is purple. Her eyes are still clear and she'll peck feed out of my palm (and had enough energy to peck my dog's nose when she got the chance). I don't know what to do.

I made her a mash of water, layer pellets, applesauce, and mealworms and she went to town on it. Not sure if that means anything, but it's giving me hope. Still would like help.

I also soaked her again and felt again for an egg but I just can't feel any sort of obstruction in her vent. All her symptoms seem to match being egg bound except for that.
