I have one chick from my 7 eggs that couldn't wait and popped out on day 19. I'm left with 6 eggs and one early bird. They all started at the same time; are my other eggs most likely duds? It's OK to leave "fluffy" in there, I know, but should I take it out on day 22? It's cheeping away in there, sounds as sad as a Monday morning.

This is by far the most nerve-racking part of the process. Will the others hatch? Can't I just take a peek at the others? Will someone please go get their crystal ball and give me the outcome? How will I be able to sit and wait?

For me this is a successful hatch, I'm so thankful for this one. I'm not one to usually say so, but I do feel blessed.

How did the other eggs look when you candled them last? How was your temps & humidity the whole time? Have the others started to pip yet? I would pull it qucikly if the other eggs haven't pipped yet. If they have pipped then I would leave it until the rest hatch out. Good Luck

Pulling it out can cause temps and humidity to go down for the other eggs and really causes the other chicks to not hatch out, if they have pipped its not a good thing to do.....It can stay in the bator for over a day or more without any problems...my thoughts...
