I decided to purchase a year old hen to add to my existung flock. The problem is now she spends all day hiding in the corner or under the edge of the henhouse because she is scared to death of my Roo who is constantly chasing her to breed or just pecking her. My hens are not to friendly either and I feel terrible for her. Is there something I can do to make this situation better??

It is not a good idea to introduce one single bird to a flock. It has no allies and everyone is it's enemy. Either rehome her or separate her and get her a friend. When they are ok with each other then reintroduce them to your flock. Also it is best to put them in at night or when they are free ranging. Otherwise put them where they can see each other, but cannot get to each other.
