. Tho the person responding seems nice lol!!......

My goodness your were right on this poor little guy. I think this one is just a poor doer... as if I am telling you something new right? Do you notice the other birds pecking the feathers out of this little guy? Sometimes there is just a chick that doesn't grow and seems to be stunted. You might take this one off to the side and feed it a little yogurt or some of our gro gel or immuno charge. It may never grow because it could have something abnormal inside. The others sure look good so it is nothing your doing for sure. Thank you for the pictures. Ruth

I had a Silver Laced Wyandotte that was like yours. It's something genetic, that doesn't allow the feathers the grow in correctly or sometimes not at all. Basically if you keep it your going to have to worry about it being sunburned in the summer or freezing to death in the winter. I made a hard decision with mine and culled it at around 12 weeks. I wanted to make sure that was the problem and not something else. If you do keep it, I would never allow it to breed. I wouldn't want even more babies with the same problem running around.

There's some nice doggie sweaters at the pet shops...
S/he's just too cute...
Bring her into the pet shop on a leash and start trying them on her...tell the people she's a rare African Ground Parrot...

Hi there, this link is from a chicken rescue that needs sweaters for their chickens. I have no idea how I came across this the other day, but when I saw your little chickie I had a "lightbulb". If you can knit or sew, or know someone who can these look to be very easy to make. I thought about having a couple on hand just in case...
