Hello, after recently having to have one of my chickens put down, i now have another chicken acting strangely, but with a different set of symptoms. Anyone know what I should do about a chicken that is/has : pale pink comb (paler than usual), loss of apatite (still drinking but only eating very little), thinner than usual, probably not laying, loss of balance (will fall over if nudged), not moving around very much (just sitting) and generally acting dopey. I was willing to overlook this for a day because the chicken in question is usually a bit thin (and a bit weird - she doesn't really hang out with the others), but the loss of balance tipped it over the edge as i have not encountered this before with her (or any other chickens).

Previously she has had a episode where she had these symptoms but more minor, and this was solved by offering her tasty food and putting her in a warm box in the kitchen.

I have just looked out of the window and she has not moved from the spot i put her in before i started writing this.

She is about 5 years old and a black rock hybrid.

Pictures available if anyone wants them ( of her healthy and her now ).

Anyone any ideas on what to do about this weird set of symptoms, if so let me know! Thank you.

Well, not sure but here are my thoughts.....anemia. Have you checked her over for lice, mites etc. is she reluctant to go to roost at night?
It sounds like she is possibly dehydrated and weak. As you did before, I would separate her, offer her high protein snacks/treats & food. Most importantly, fresh water - you could add vitamin/electrolyte powder to her water.
I hope she improves for you, please keep us posted,

Hello, unfortunately she passed away today. I had a look for mites and couldn't see any, but I kept her separate from the others anyway. We will be dusting them for mites soon as we usually do when it starts to warm up. Thank you for responding.
