Poorly Chicken

I have just noticed one of my chickens has a swelling between her toes. It feels soft to the touch and doesn't seem to bother her.
Can anyone give me any ideas about what might have caused it and how to treat?

Can someone help please before this gets too bad. I believe it may be bumble foot. We have caught her up and soaked the foot. She had a black mark on the bottom of her foot, so we have tried to remove it with tweezers. Got some off but no puss coming out.we have put some ointment on and wrapped it up for now. Will take another look tomorrow.
