Porcelain and Lavender in Same Breeding Pen?

I wish I was the one that had them, LOL

Yeah, me, too! I am getting a few great quality BR eggs to fertility test for someone, so hopefully, will at least get a couple pullets out of there. I figure that even if I kept my rooster, those new ladies would plump up the quality some. I'm not into showing, but I would like to see a really great BR out there in my pen and the folks who get eggs from me will have better ones as well.

someoen should post pics in this thread, for the lazy people... like me.

I know exactly what you mean there, I'm not into showing either but I really want to get show quality Barred Rocks to sell eggs and use in my projects.

I'm trying to figure out how I can do bantams without too much extra work. Was actually considering putting them in with my main standard flock complete with matching bantam rooster. Then, I'll know which are banty eggs (no mistaking for others), they'll be fertile, and a banty rooster can sound an alarm as well as a standard. If he fertilized some big girls, no big deal, but at least he shouldn't tear up their feathers like a big boy would, right? I still have my wonderful Delaware rooster as main flock rooster at the moment, though.

Thanks for all the input on this thread.
