FlockNFoal I like her coloring as well. Is she the same one that you and I were talking about in the Silkies of a Different color thread?
They are gorgeous! What great type!!My first hatch from Catdance bred Porcelain male on Catdance Partridge female is nearly six weeks old now.
There may be controversy on the future standard description of Porcelain (Self Blue Cream)but the colors that develop from project breeding can be stunning. These are three chicks of six that are my F1.
I don't show or sell anything so the color just needs to please me. And baby, it does!
Thank you. They are gorgeous! What great type!!
I did a test hatch of a couple of eggs to check fertility out of my Catdance porcelain rooster x Catdance blue pullet and got the prettiest blue partridge chicks. I hadn't planned on keeping them, but they are so pretty I can't part with them!
If they are just pets for fun, I don't see anything wrong with it.Thank you.![]()
I was forever thinking I shouldn't cross to white or shouldn't cross one variety to another for the longest time and now I'm so glad I stopped listening to all the 'shouldn't's'. Karen Larson has put together some of the finest pens and has produced some of the finest silkies in the nation. All that happened by crossing them was give me some of the most beautifully colored and typey silkies I've ever raised.
ThanksChickee,
I love your babies! I also agree with your idea about mixing colors The result is awesome!
Awww, she is pretty. Hope you find eggs or a mate for her.
