I have a pheasant chick that has had a problem since he was born. he is now 2 weeks old. we tried the band aid method, it is not working at all.
in fact it is getting worse, now his leg goes backwards.

When we put his leg back the right way, the bone at the top on his hips looks way in and back wards and gets swollen. How can i help him, what can we do to fix it.

It looks like it needs to be re broken to put back into place, i am not really sure.

Please any advise?

Well, I have a little golden pheasant about 3 weeks old now that has a siimilar problem. I checked to make sure his little leg was not broken and I figured he just hatched out that way. He was a day or two late in hatching and was probably in the shell too long in that position. Like you, I have tried the bandaid thing and the little shoe/boot thing but it never straightened his little leg out right and he still has what I call a bum foot. He gets around fairly well, just with a limp. He can be pretty quick, too! I don't expect he will ever get better, so to speak, but he may survive and I don't have the heart to cull him. Aside from his little bum foot, he seems perfectly fine.

I belive mine will fine too, It is just so sad to see him like that.
Same here i can cull anything.

His leg goes straight back behind him out and twisted thew rong way.
