No kidding, right? It's the hardest part of the whole ordeal! I keep hovering around the bator wanting to look inside every 5 minutes. It's agonizing!

Well, it is the eve of day 19 and I have my first pipped egg!! I can't believe it pipped so early! The eggs are really tiny! I may have some chicks sooner than I thought!!!

smaller eggs do hatch sooner, but after the pip they may rest and do nothing and that is okay. some times it can take up to 24 hrs after a pip to hatch.

Sweet! Yup the chick seems to just be resting!!! I think it is still early to hatch! I would rather wait till the chick is fully developed!! One must wait for all good things!!! Patience is the key!!

if they try to hatch out the pointed end it is real early because in a reg hatch the breathe the air in the air cell a day before first before the outer pip.

Umm, so I have 2 chicks that have hatched out of 15 eggs so far. One had really sprayed legs, so I put a band aid to keep them together. Now I have 13 eggs that have chicks in them, but have not externally pipped. I am in the middle of day 20, is that normal? Are these eggs not going to hatch?

Advise is appreciated!!

I have a feeling that most of the chicks died on day 18 not sure why! Well I have a 3 rd peep, 3 chicks is better than none. Well, tomorrow morning will be day 21. I am doubtful that this will be a very good hatch... I guess hatching shipped eggs is really risky business! There certainly are no guarantees!

Lesson learnt!
