Possible Coccidiosis In Week Old Silkies!

Okay, I went to the vet today as I just couldn't handle the stress of treating them myself. One weighs a 'whopping' five pounds and the other a weighs six. The vet gave me some kind of wormer? I'm not sure if it will work but I quote from the back of the bottle:
Active Ingredient:
Levamisole hydrochloride 24% w/v as an aqeous solution

Will this help? The receptionist seemed pretty clueless (Didn't even know what coccidiosis was) however the head vet reccomended . They are still doing poop, however this time without blood, just pale pink chunks

No she didn't. She consulted the head vet and he or she said to get the de-wormer...

Maybe they are thinking you are dealing with worms?
You would think a vet would know what would treat coccidiosis.

Thanks, Mum's talking with the neighbours at the moment, and I'll have to ak her before I ring. Someone on facebook saidd that she had some treatment that she was looking for. What do I tell the vet? I don't want to seem as though I'm questioning her authority as she is licensed, but wormer won't help my chicks... What do I do?

They are one week old? That is too young for worms. Call them and ask why they prscribed a wormer and not a coccidiostat.

Good catch! Even full grown Silkies don't weigh that much.

Oh sorry, I mean .05 and .06 pounds. Mum and I have decided to go to a different vet (The same company just a different clinic that's closer) and ask why the other one sold us wormer. I'm hoping to get some treatment there but if not I honestly don't know what I'll do. These chicks have already costed more then we paid for them. This is becoming ridiculous.
