Is there anything I can do? She is pretty swollen, hasn't laid in 2 months, crop issues. It's fairly advanced, I think. We treated the sour crop and impaction. We are giving her colidial silver as an antibiotic. Read my fist post for the rundown if you wish, it is titled," need help, sick girl," ( I clearly didn't read the "read before you post" post...derrrrr) one of you lovelies suggested a reproductive issue, which I had briefly thought about but didn't look into, as I did not connect crop issues with that. Rookie.

I've just let her out of confinement ( she was in a big kennel in therun during theday, in our shower at night) as I am certain she was getting depressed. Do I just make her comfortable? Do I keep treating her for an infection? Calcium supplements?? ( she has never lacked to begun with always had crushed eggshells and oystershells ) How do I know when it's time to let her go??
My heart is breaking for her....

To treat or not to treat a hen in advanced reproductive cancer/malfunction is a personal choice. If she were mine, I would keep her as comfortable and happy as possible and when she started to show any sign that she was no longer feeling well enough to enjoy normal chicken activities, I would end her suffering humanely. Remember, chickens are extremely stoic and by the time they start showing symptoms of illness, they are pretty bad off. With EYP or cancer, they cannot be cured.
I'm sorry that she is doing so poorly and I wish the best for you both. :hugs
