Possible egg problem? See pics

Hello,
I don't know if this is something normal/occasional or something to be worried about? Saturday I went out to collect eggs and found this in the nesting box

Then today(Monday) I found this

I have 4 barred rocks and one wyandotte all on organic layer and about 8 months old. The egg today is rough in texture. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Calcium deposits happen like that sometimes. Make sure your girls have access to free choice oyster shell to provide the needed calcium for good shell development.

I have some oyster shells and I put a little in the feeder but will get some type of separate feeder just for oyster shells. Thanks for the quick response! Gene

If your getting rough shelled eggs it is an indication of too much calcium -
