Possible feed toxin intake.

I don't know the MG dosing for calcium, I assume that it may be like vitamins and minerals that the excess gets flushed out of the body. For an IB type hen I have read 4 to 6 ml of calcium gluconate orally and 4 ml SQ. Lil Bit is a little big so I doubled up. If you don't see improvement in 12 to 24 hours administer another round. The bottle says 23% solution intervenes solution.

Update on my hens. Both are showing signs of improvement! Lilah was able to stand for a few minutes tonight, and Electra, who was worse to begin with, is able to take a few steps. I gave another 600mg of calcium to both birds this evening. Should I give more B12?

@KsKingBee how's your hen today?

Update...Lilah laid another egg tonight. Perfectly normal, but huge.

Lil Bit passed away. I opened her up and found a developed egg that was not impacting the vent. I did not find any visible worms but there was an awful smell. She did not have any signs of bacterial infection leaking from her vent, just green loose poo. I suppose she flushed and damaged her brain or spinal column.

I'm so sorry.

Oh man, I'm so sorry. :(

We gave another 600mg of calcium last night, and this morning, both hens seem stronger. I'm not sure how much they ate and drank yesterday, so I'm going to mix up some baby food with water and vitamins and give them both some today. Hopefully that will be enough to get them back on their feet.
